The economic viability model is in development and currently focused primarily on the first step in the value chain: growing. Over the summer we will be validating this model with producers and primary manufacturing organizations.

Industry Case Studies
The Rural Economy Team consists of two streams, one focused on developing a model that examines the economic viability of a collaborative, circular long-line linen industry in Atlantic Canada, and a second, which examines comparable industry systems within agriculture to better understand the opportunities and challenges.
